The phinisi with a Michelin-trained galley, a spa in the rate, and sails that are used.
Celestia is the phinisi whose galley alone is a reason to choose her. Her executive chef is Michelin-trained and came from Home restaurant in Bali, and up to three hours of spa treatments a day are in the rate. Three of her seven suites have private terraces, where most phinisi have one or none.
Her double-masted rig is for sailing, and the bowsprit lounge over the forward spar makes that clear the moment guests come aboard. Deirdre Renniers designed her, with furnishings from Balinese artisans: hand-woven textiles, teak, brass, and the blue glazed Balinese tiles in the bathrooms. She carries Nitrox, a purpose-built dive locker, two speedboats, and a watermaker producing 10,000 liters a day for the long passages, with a crew of seventeen for fourteen guests.
Since 2024 the Golden Globes gift bag assembled by Robb Report has carried a five-day charter aboard Celestia, offered to every winner and presenter, and three ceremonies later she is still in it. Robb Report had already named her Indonesia's most luxurious new yacht in 2023, and in 2025 TIME placed her among the World's Greatest Places. The galley earns the citations: around ninety percent of what the kitchen serves comes from the Indonesian islands themselves, and sambals are matched to individual dishes the way a sommelier matches wine.
She was raised by hand on the beach at Bulukumba, in a boatbuilding tradition UNESCO recognized in 2017, to naval architecture by Tresno Seery, of the family behind Silolona, and she was launched in 2022 the old way, with a gold ring set into her keel and the whole village easing her down to the water over several days. A year of finishing followed before her first charters. Her name means heavenly, and she is built to have guests look up: stargazing dinners on the rooftop deck, daybeds pointed at the sky, hot chocolate waiting after a night dive.
The Experience
The Right Guests for Celestia
Multigenerational families and groups of couples where each pair needs a proper suite of its own, and guests for whom the food decides the boat. Divers get Nitrox and a purpose-built dive locker. On the crossings she sails, and those are the quiet days.
The day on Celestia starts on one of the three terraces with the sunrise, a dive with Nitrox at mid-morning, the sails up for the passage after lunch, and a beach dinner set on an uninhabited shore with the same care as the dining room.

UNESCO Heritage Craft
Celestia is built in the tradition of the Sulawesi phinisi, whose construction methods were inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2017. The Bulukumba boatbuilders who constructed her represent the ninth generation of a lineage that has built vessels for regional trade routes since the 14th century.
Accommodation
Seven Staterooms Across Three Decks
The Master Stateroom on the main deck is the reference point for everything else Celestia offers. At 39 square meters, with panoramic windows on three sides and a private terrace opening onto the water, it functions more like a hotel suite than a yacht cabin. The bed is king-size, the bathroom has gold fixtures, slate tile, and a walk-in shower. Morning light enters from every angle.
The two Owner's Staterooms on the upper deck each offer 30 square meters and their own private terraces, positioned to catch both the sunrise and the evening sky. Below, four Deluxe Staterooms on the lower deck trade square footage for intimacy: warm teak paneling, porthole windows bringing in filtered ocean light, en-suite bathrooms with oval mirrors and brass hardware. Two rooms are configured as queens, two as twins. All seven staterooms have air conditioning, individual climate control, USB charging, and en-suite bathrooms.
