The Work
Seventeen thousand islands, most of them only accessible by boat.
Indonesia has dozens of private charter boats and a few hundred liveaboards. Package trips are not our focus. Private yacht charters are. The yachts we represent earned their places by over-delivering, season after season, and our work is matching each group to the right one, then building the trip around them. It is not a volume business. It is the owner experience: for the length of your charter, you live aboard as the owner does, the yacht and her crew yours alone. The top tier, for those who want to discover Indonesia and get addicted to exploring the archipelago. Just like we did.

I came to Indonesia in 2009, six years before there was an Indo Yachts, and the country has been my education since: its reefs and the biology that fills them, its geography, its languages and cultures, and the photographs I keep trying to take of all of it. Every charter I plan draws on that appetite, and it is what lets me match the right yacht to the right guest.
Indo Yachts, founded in 2015, gives something back to the country that gave me that education. It helps people understand Indonesia, enjoy it, and respect and conserve it while they do. We specialize in a style of charter that is neither liveaboard nor white yacht: wooden phinisi built from the hardwoods of the islands they sail, run by crews who know these waters, each journey shaped around one group at a time.
The same curiosity led to Explorers, our international brand, which takes guests to the rest of the world aboard leading expedition yachts from 40 to more than 100 meters. The landscapes change. The ethos does not. And the warmth of an Indonesian crew, a hull built by hand and the islands around her are still something you can search the world for and not find anything that comes close.

The love of exploring eastern Indonesia starts here, with the idea that there is more to be discovered further east.
First Expedition
A 12-night journey through rarely visited islands on a hand-written itinerary. The adventure that planted the seed.
Indo Yachts Founded
After three years of exploration, I established Indo Yachts in Bali to share these adventures with the world.
International Recognition
Nominated Best Charter Company in Asia at Singapore Yacht Show. Joined IYBA as the first Indonesian member.

Through the Pandemic
Indonesia closed to the world. We kept chartering with Indonesian families, holding the fleet and the standard together through the quiet years.
First Back on the Water
Indo Yachts was the first operator running charters in Komodo and Raja Ampat during the pandemic.
Indonesia Reopens
Indonesia reopened, and we were again the first operator to welcome international guests back to chartering.
US Office Opens
We opened a US office to handle service across time zones.
The Tenth Year
A decade of charters across Indonesia's remote waters, with the same first-hand standard from day one.
Refining the Experience
We refined the yacht program and itineraries for more personalized journeys across Indonesia. We also launched the Charter Cost Calculator, live rate math for every yacht in the fleet.
