The Yacht

Sized to fit the landscape.

Nataraja reaches the lagoons and bays that carry no other charter traffic. At 32 meters she is small enough to anchor where the larger yachts only look, and large enough to take eight guests in comfort with a crew of eleven and a cruise director who runs the diving himself. Her structure is ironwood, among the densest and most rot-resistant timbers there are, and her decks and interior are teak.

A 260-horsepower engine gives her 7 knots on passage, two generators run the systems, a watermaker produces 5,000 liters a day, and she carries a 315-liter compressor, full dive equipment, a spa on board, and a bartender and chef who make it worth staying on deck.

A ten-night crossing from Ambon to Raja Ampat through the Banda Sea is hers each April and October, a route the small fleet rarely attempts, and in season she splits Raja Ampat into north, central and south itineraries of their own.

The Experience

The Right Guests for Nataraja

A small group of up to eight, two or three couples or a family, who want a traditional phinisi at a human scale with more than one crew member per guest, and the anchorages the larger yachts only see from a distance. Children of eight and up can join the introductory dives.

A day in Raja Ampat on Nataraja for a group of eight runs to a lagoon with no other boat in it, a dive led by the cruise director himself, kayaks into a mangrove channel, and dinner on deck in the quiet.

Accommodation

Three Cabins, Each Its Own World

The aft Master Cabin is Nataraja's most generous space: king-size bed, a single for a child or companion, and an extra berth that converts to a sofa when not needed. A private door opens directly to the swimming platform, so the first and last thing guests touch each day is the sea. The front cabin mirrors the layout with equal warmth, its convertible child's bed making it ideal for families. The midship Deluxe Cabin offers a queen that splits to twin singles, suited to friends or solo travelers wanting their own beds.

Every cabin has its own ensuite bathroom stocked with organic toiletries, and air conditioning keeps each space comfortable through Indonesian nights. Sustainable soaps, conditioner, and soft towels are replenished daily, and the same crew who service the cabins serve the meals, so preferences are learned by the second day.

The Anchorages the Big Boats Miss

At 32 meters she anchors inside lagoons and tight bays that bigger boats see only from outside, and her three seasons are planned around them. That access is her purpose.

We had an amazing time on board Nataraja. We tailor made our own itinerary, which was wonderful because we were really able to create an experience that was perfect for us. The highlight has to be swimming with manta rays.
