This epic trip encompasses the surf havens of west Sumbawa and east Lombok, two off-the-beaten-path areas featuring world-class waves – with few people vying for them – off of rugged, pristine coastlines. Despite its constantly firing waves, west Sumbawa has remained blissfully uncrowded.

01
Serangan - Lembongan
12 NM (23 KM)  |   ~ 2 HOURS
 
Depart Bali, crossing the short channel to Lembongan Island. Spend the day riding waves here, getting your feet wet and testing equipment. Cruise overnight to Sumbawa, enjoying the sunset en route.

Lembongan - Southwest Sumbawa

Jaw-dropping waves and stunning scenery greet you in Indonesia’s surf Mecca. Professional surf guides who know the area intimately will assess swell conditions and advise spots that best suit guests’ surfing abilities. Take RIB rides from the yacht, anchored in a nearby bay, when the waves are best.

Within this relatively small area, there is a multitude of fantastic surf spots to explore, dependent on swell and wind directions. The exact location of the yacht will be determined by weather and surf conditions, re-positioned as needed to take advantage of the waves that develop throughout the day.

Surf today at Yo-Yos, a reliable wave that works regardless of swell size. Once Yo-Yos reaches 6’, Scar Reef and Super Suck start firing to offer a pristine, uncrowded playground for long barrels in clear, turquoise waters. The yacht will anchor in protected coves while we shuttle to waves on RIBs.

Today offers some of the most scarcely-surfed swells in the world. Depending on conditions, surf first at Tropical Beach, a beginner- to intermediate-level wave with both left and right breaks. After a morning session, take RIBS up the coast to Super Suck in Maluk, an advanced left hander hollow reef break.

Southwest Sumbawa - Southeast Lombok

Depart from Sumbawa early in the morning, cruising to southeast Lombok to spend the day surfing Ekas, a chill bay that offers two breaks catering to both beginner and advanced surfers.

Southeast Lombok - West Lombok
96 NM (178 KM)  |   ~ 14 HOURS
 
After an overnight cruise, surf Senggigi in west Lombok. Senggigi is more fickle than the south coast, but when it’s on, it’s on, and has deep tube rights and a fast-moving left with a fast bowl section.
